Thanks for taking a few minutes to update on what is happening with 420HighWays. It has been and remains our mission to provide a safe location with access to high quality, consistent and affordable medical cannabis and other related products to all MMJ patients. New rules and regulations have been enacted and we are doing our best to get in compliance with the nearly impossible request and requirement from the state.

What is the state requiring currently from 420HighWays and other Colorado dispensaries:

1. All “Cannabis Centers” are required to have 70% growing for centers patients by Aug. 1^st 2010.

Lafayette, Co has a moratorium currently and will not allow 420HighWays to relocate or acquire additional facilities to grow, therefore preventing 420HighWays to legally operate within the city of Lafayette, Co as of Aug. 1, 2010.

It also take a large amount of money to grow cannabis – lights, supplies, plants, electricity, water, time, nutrients and much more – unfortunately the state is requiring we prove a grow by Aug. 1, 2010.

70% grow of what at what point is unknown how this is to be determined – yet we have to comply.

Although the states wants 70% grown by each center, 420HighWays owner is not willing to risk the possibility of being charged by the feds for exceeding a 99 plant limited- feds do over ride state still no matter what they say.

What are we going to do?

420Highways is going to do it best to stay in business and doors open in Lafayette so we can continue providing medical cannabis to our patients now and new. In order to comply with the states requirements and deadlines for them 420HighWays will be opening a second location in Idaho Springs, Co. This location is believed to be the first 3 in one in the state – grow, commercial kitchen with our own infused product license (for things like our Cheeba chews aka Hash Tootsie Rolls & Dispensary.

A grand opening party will on Saturday July 24^th, 2010.

420HighWays, LLC received a local biz license as well as other permits and other requirements, fees + required by Idaho Springs on May 29^th, 2010- which meet the July 1^st, 2010 deadline (first deadline for Cannabis Centers according to the new rules in 1284).

On August 1^st, 2010 the new rules adopted by our state calls for 70% grow – so as of Aug. 1^st, 2010 we will have 99 plants on site at the Idaho Springs location.

Also, on the same date the Colorado Dept of Revenue (who is now in charge of all this) is required new state mandated applications and fees. The fee for 420HighWay, LLC, as understood currently, will be $7,500.00 (dispensary with 300 patients or less) + $1,250.00(infused product license) + $1,250.00 (grow) + $1,250.00 (grow 2/boulder) + $5000.00 bond fee (which does not currently exist). These fees are not only scary and extreme. Funds in this range are not even available in this huge amount to pay the state. If the extensive applications, along with the signing all rights away and free rein for the states scrutiny, plus gigantic fees are not submitted on Aug. 1^st, 2010 it will be unlawful for 420HighWays to continue servicing our patients.

Here is where we need help! If we don’t find a collective way to fund these fees then we will all be back where we started. That is not acceptable! We are accepting any donations possible as well as any suggestion and or help to fund raise. This has to be done now. The new rules are trying to shut a great thing down and make it as hard as possible to live and medicate legally. If you value your rights to legal access to your Medical Cannabis now is the time to be proactive and support your local dispensary – 420HighWays.
